On Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:00 AM, 120 children, age’s five to six, most of who attend a school for the underprivileged, will depart from Sky Harbor International Airport for a “Fantasy Flight” to the North Pole.

After checking in for their “Fantasy Flight“, they will board a United A-320 aircraft designated “Santa One” at Gate 3, Terminal Two for the North Pole. After a brief flight, they will return to Gate C which has been decorated as “Santa’s Winter Wonderland”. This is the Seventeenth year that United Airlines pilots, flight attendants, retirees and employees have volunteered their time and money to host a special Christmas for underpriviledged children. The participating students are in kindergarten and first grade. For most of the children, it will be their first flight on an airplane.
